Volunteering at The First Tee

The First Tee of Central Arkansas depends on volunteers. We operate year-round and offer the opportunity to volunteer in a variety of capacities. If you live for helping kids and playing golf we can use your assistance any time you are available! Or if you’re a parent of a student and would like to help, we need it! The volunteer opportunities are endless and time commitments are flexible to fit your schedule. Volunteers are needed in all areas at The First Tee of Central Arkansas to impact the youth of our community!

4 EASY STEPS!

STEP 1

Review our current list of Volunteer Opportunities (click here) and think about what you would like to do. Some of our positions offer physically exhilarating opportunities such as playing/monitoring golf on the course, while others are mentally stimulating such as teaching life lessons on the driving range/course or in the classroom and others are support roles necessary to keep our program and facility operating smoothly. But we can tell you all of our positions will give you the emotional satisfaction of having worked with and helped the youth of our community.

STEP 2

Download and fill out our online volunteer application (click here) and complete a background check. Send your application to Monica Blake at mblake@thefirstteear.org. You may also fax your application to 501-562-4693. There is a $25 fee required for the background check. As a thank you The First Tee will give you a voucher for 2 complimentary rounds on the Chairman’s course with cart, which is a $70 value. Background checks will be conducted by The First Tee of Central Arkansas Executive Director and are confidential.

STEP 3

Volunteers must attend Volunteer Orientation at The First Tee of Central Arkansas that lasts about 45 minutes. Orientation will help you familiarize yourself with the program and the opportunities for having an impact on a child. During this session you will meet other volunteers, learn the basics of the program so you can answer general questions from parents and you will gain an understanding of the code of conduct to which the students must adhere.

STEP 4

We will confirm your assignment and work with you to ensure that you are comfortable with your responsibilities. Schedules will be provided so you can sign up for times convenient for you.

We welcome your questions and feedback about our training, orientation and your assignment. We want to ensure that you have a fulfilling volunteer experience at The First Tee of Central Arkansas!
